What is synthetic cannabis?

Unlike cannabis, which comes from a plant, cannabis is a chemical synthesis. It contains no THC, but molecules that mimic the effects of cannabis. The synthetic cannabis is more powerful, more dangerous and addictive than natural cannabis.

 
 
Consumption form : 

Mainly smoked. However, some sources suggest that «synthetic cannabis» could be consumed as tea.

 

 

What are the effects?

Caractéristics : The synthetic cannabis, also known as K2 or Spice names (among others), occurs most often in the form of a mixture of dried plants (packed in a small metal bag) on which a cannabinoid solution synthesis was sprayed.

General order effects:
The synthetic cannabis contains chemical compounds that mimic the effects of THC contained in natural cannabis.
 
  Feeling of relaxation and well-being.
  Euphoria.
  Intensification of sensory perceptions (sounds, images and tactile sensations growing in intensity and finesse).
  Changing the appreciation of time and space.
  Feel "high".
 
Short-term effects:
  Anxiety, irritability, restlessness.
  Hallucinations.
  High blood pressure, palpitations.
  Vomiting.
  Redness of the face and eyes, dry mouth.
 
Long-term effects:
If symptoms are usually short, scientists are concerned about multiple possible long-term effects on memory loss, addiction and psychiatric complications.
 
 
Dependence:
Physical dependence or psychological unknown until now.
