If you think or know that your child
is using drugs, act immediately! Waiting will
only aggravate the problem. |

Most adults acknowledge that drug
experimentation by teens is risky
and can lead to serious trouble. But
some say "it's only cannabis", or
"it's only alcohol", or "it’s
a rite of passage".
The world has changed, and so have
the drugs. In facts, the cannabis of
today is stronger than ever before.
And kids are using drugs and alcohol
at a much younger age, when their
bodies and brains are still.
Experimentation, even with cannabis
can also lead to addiction and can
lead to accidents, legal problems
and serious health problems.
Not everyone progresses from use to
abuse to addiction, but it is a
dangerous road, and there is no way
to know who will develop a problem
and who won't.
If you are at all
concerned about your child - or even
just have a bad feeling - you can
and should intervene by:
|
|
|
● |
|
Restoring the dialog,
by starting a conversation
with your child, ideally in
the presence of your spouse
even if you are separate.
|
|
|
|
● |
|
Asking of assistance
near professionals, in
particular parent
associations. They will be
able to guide you to adopt
suitable atitude.
|
|
|
|
● |
|
Expressing your concern
for its future, your
determination not "to drop
it".
|
|
|
|
● |
|
Let
your child tell itself,
express his fears, his
anguishes, his problems. |
